In Law Enforcement
Law enforcement officers face pressure from many angles. One wrong move can destroy community trust and stain reputations for years. That’s why many agencies become Character First Members to provide ongoing ethics training—so that doing what’s true and right becomes second nature, especially in high-pressure situations where officers can’t consult a supervisor or colleague.
What We Offer
Ethics Seminar: The Ethics in Law Enforcement training course is designed for 5 continuing education credit hours. (Local accreditation requirements vary.) This course teaches how to recruit officers with character and competence; communicate ethical standards; implement monthly Character First training in your agency; reward excellence and correct unethical behavior; and provide first-class service to your constituents.
Programs for Inmates: The Character First prison curriculum uses a character-based approach to address cognitive and behavioral challenges facing male, female, long-term, and pre-release inmates. Each 4-page Prison Guide includes teaching lessons, discussion questions, role plays, and other projects pertinent to life inside and outside prison. (Developed in cooperation with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections.)
Workplace Training & Coaching: Learn more about the programs and services offered by Strata Leadership, including a cultural analysis for your agency, one-on-one coaching, and a wide range of workshop and seminar topics to improve character and competence in the workplace.
